Muragala is a magnificent making of a Sinhala craftsman of the past. This is otherwise called the guard picture. Made of dark stone or limestone, the highest point of this stone chunk has a roundabout shape and is connected to the lookout before the flight of stairs of the old structures. No carvings can be seen on the lookouts having a place with the Anuradhapura early period. The cutting of the lookouts started bit by bit.
